From the airport: Take the Gateway Motorway heading south towards the Gold Coast. Proceed over the Gateway Bridge and take the second exit to the left. Head east along Wynnum Road, then straight ahead at the next major intersection onto Manly Road. Veer slightly to the right at a roundabout, then stay on the main road. You will come to the Koala Motel on your left at another major intersection; turn left here to Birkdale onto Rickertt Road. About two kilometres along this road, look for the blue and white "B&B" sign, turn right at the next traffic lights (300 metres) into St James Road, and then right again at the T intersection. This is Whitehall Avenue; Birkdale Bed and Breakfast is near the end.
