The Hollow Log Country Retreat is situated in the secluded valley of Mount Byron, close to Lakes Somerset and Wivenhoe and just over an hour's scenic drive from Brisbane. This fully wheelchair accessible, 'gentle bush haven' can accommodate groups or families of up to 12 people in its four comfortable bedrooms and large, unique living area.
Set amongst beautiful native gardens and natural bushland it is the ideal country getaway for complete relaxation. Take leisurely strolls around the gardens and wildlife corridor to view some wild friends, walk to the top of the hill for spectacular views, spotlight or stargaze at night, visit the local natural rock waterhole or just sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Gentle farm animals complete the country experience.

FURTHER INFORMATION
Children: Children are welcome. Some facilities available include cot, high chair and a baby bath.
Disabled: Access is available for guests with a disability. One of the bathrooms is fully equipped with grab rails, a fold-down shower bench and adjustable shower rose. The kitchen has been designed for wheelchair access and the door and hallways as well as the light switches meet the Australian Standards for wheelchair access.
Miscellaneous:
Guests usually drive the scenic journey from Brisbane, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast area or Toowoomba by private motor vehicles. A seven seater people mover is available to meet guests (maximum six) at Brisbane Airport, Ipswich Transit Centre or Roma Street Transit Centre in Brisbane by prior arrangement.
A two night minimum stay is required on weekends. Higher rates apply for weekends. A discount of 10 per cent is offered to Seniors card holders for midweek stays.
