Quench your thirst for history, drinks and weird and wacky fun on the World's Greatest Pub Crawl, hosted by Maryborough's historic pubs. The event will be Maryborough's fourth assault on the Guinness World Record for the largest ever pub crawl, as it tried to beat its own record of 2,758 set last year.
Drinkers are required to sink at least one drink - alcoholic or not - in at least 10 pubs within seven hours, in order to qualify and go in the draw for great cash prizes.
The pub crawlers, many dressed in outrageous costumes, set off at the resounding 'bang' of the city's old Time Cannon and either walk from pub to pub, or ride one of the free shuttle buses looping around to the various hotels.
The event, held every Queens Birthday weekend, attracts thirsty visitors from across Australia to Maryborough, about 260 kilometres north of Brisbane.
