Mount Barney Lodge sits in a picturesque valley with creek frontage and nearby waterholes. It is situated between the Mount Gillies and Mt Barney Summits in the World Heritage listed Mount Barney National Park. It is a family run business with Innes and Tracey Larkin living onsite and hosting guests.
Mount Barney Lodge offers four levels of accommodation with two Queenslander homesteads (sleep up to six and 15) with colonial furniture,potbelly stoves, extensive verandas and artwork; Henrys Hut and Foresters Hut (sleep up to seven and 10) are rustic retreats fulfilling your every need of a simple country haven; two delux camper trailers with gas stove, running water, power and lights give you a genuine camping experience; and the camping ground features excellent facilities including shady, grassed campsites, a modern, tiled amenities block with hot and cold running water, open fireplaces and a shelter shed.
Mount Barney Lodge can accommodate up to 46 people in beds. They have successfully hosted group bookings, weddings and conferences, and have a function room available. Families and children are warmly welcome.
Other services include catered meals and activities such as kid's night adventures, eco-tours, rock-climbing, abseiling and guided hikes.

If a booking is cancelled and another booking can be organised then a refund will be given minus 20 per cent for administration costs. The alternative to a refund is a credit voucher to the dollar value of the deposit; no administration fee required. If no alternative booking can be organised then the deposit will be forfeited. If two or more buildings are booked together, and then cancelled the deposit will only be refunded, minus 20 per cent for administration costs, if all of the buildings are filled. A pro rata refund may be negotiated on an individual basis. If an exclusive booking of the lodge is cancelled, the refund will again only be given, minus the 20 per cent administration costs, when all homesteads and cabins have been filled. A pro rata refund may be negotiated on an individual basis.
From Brisbane follow Beaudesert Road to Beaudesert. Turn right at the lights onto Mount Lindsay Highway heading south to Rathdowney. Go through Rathdowney, turn right immediately onto Boonah-Rathdowney Road. After seven kilometres, turn left onto Upper Logan Road, follow the signs to Mount Barney Lodge. From the Gold Coast go through Nerang, follow the signs to Canungra and then Beaudesert. At Beaudesert, go straight ahead at the traffic lights onto Mount Lindsay Highway heading for Rathdowney. Go through Rathdowney, turn right immediately onto Boonah-Rathdowney Road. After seven kilometres turn left onto Upper Logan Road, follow the signs to Mount Barney Lodge.
There is a two night minimum stay on weekends for the Cabin and Queensland Homestead.
