The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is home to some 2,000 tropical butterflies. The screened rainforest environment is designed with the needs in mind of it's rainforest inhabitants, with special attention given to the requirements of the electric blue Ulysses and Australia's largest butterfly, the multi coloured birdwing. The sanctuary breeds all butterflies exhibited on the premises, and informative optional half hour guided tours run on request at no extra charge. As the butterflies are quite friendly, they will readily land, especially if you are wearing bright reds, pinks or white.
