Soar like a sea eagle at the IGA Coolum Kite Festival, home to a dazzling display of kite flying, kite surfing, live performances, artistic creations and interactive workshops. Staged at the colourful Coolum beach, this environmentally friendly event provides a breath of fresh air to a Sunshine Coast October. Watch the kite surfers tackle the tubes in this gusty and gutsy event. Here the sky, quite literally, is the limit.
This Festival is open for every age group from toddlers to Grandparents. The festival has grown over the years to become one of the best kite festivals in the Southern Hemisphere.

Coolum is located just over a hours drive north of Brisbane. Access is via the Sunshine Coast Motor Way or the Bruce Highway from the Yandina direction. Directions are on the website.
Admission is free of charge, however a gold coin donation is appreciated.
