Outback Spirit is never more apparent than when help is needed. One very small Australian marsupial was looking at the end of the line until Frank Manthey and Peter McRae from Charleville in Outback Queensland came to the rescue. Frank and Peter have devoted time, energy and sheer willpower to saving this delightful creature. Now these furry Australians have a special day of their own; National Bilby Day, officially launched in 2005. Coming to the end of the Bilby Festival and Threatened Species Week, National Bilby Day is the second Sunday every September.

With lots of fun and interesting things to do in Outback Charleville, you and your family will enjoy this unique experience.
