Fitton Insurance Charity Race Day ""You Only Live Twice"" sets the two year olds on their way to glory with the running of the Fitton Hopeful Plate. Race Day guests are invited to dress up in ""007"" style with the best dressed couple winning luxury accommodation for two at Palazzo Versace. There will be complimentary champagne on arrival and a two course plated meal served in the silk lined marquee.
There will also be ""Fashions on the Field"" and Best Groomed Gentleman, charity auctions of original art works, antiques and sporting memorabilia. The lucky door prize is luxury accommodation at Peppers Hidden Vale. Dance 'til late with ""Slow Train Coming"". This will be an eight race programme conducted in the twilight at Clifford Park.

These events form the Equine Extravaganza on the Darling Downs for 2008. Fitton Insurance Brokers commenced sponsorship of the Fitton Hopeful Plate in 1988 and through this have been raising funds for cancer research at QIMR ever since. The local 'Nurse of the Year' Cancer Fund entrant this year is Georgie Briggs from the Surgicentre Toowoomba and the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and hopes to benefit from this major racing attraction in South East Queensland. Peter Rookas from Toowoomba Hospital Foundation will be their most genial MC on the day.
