The Rugby League World Cup will be held in Australia in October and November. 10 countries will compete in the first World Cup held since 2000.

The Rugby League World Cup brings down the curtain on Australia's Centenary celebrations. This will be the thirteenth time the World Cup has been played since its inception in 1954. The Rugby League World Cup has been played in eight nations with games played in over 50 cities and towns.

10 of the world's best nations will contest the 2008 World Cup - Australia, England, New Zealand, France, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Ireland and Scotland. 12 different venues will host matches with the final scheduled for Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Saturday 22 November. Thousands of Rugby League fans from England, New Zealand, France and the Pacific Islands will be attending matches.
